Visual artist

Tamsin Cunningham is a visual artist formerly specialising in bespoke contemporary textile art.

Drawing inspiration from travelling in India and Indonesia, she retains her interest in repetition, pattern, geometry, colour and architecture. Her new work explores the theme of mandalas.

Mandala means ‘circle’ in the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit. It also symbolises the universe in Buddhism and Hinduism. Mandalas are often geometric designs and a form of expression of the self. They can be used as a tool for meditation.

Her artwork is hand drawn and painted, using pencil, inks and acrylics.

Tamsin offers mandala creation workshops in small groups.  Please visit her website for more details.
