Printmaker Colette Payne has a BA Hons degree in Fine Art.  Having lived away from the area for some time, she has now returned to live in New Mills and has resumed her artistic career.

Colette is a print maker who primarily produces images using the relief method of lino cutting.  Her work is mainly in monochrome with occasional hand colouring.

Her striking linocuts feature observations of people, often women, absorbed in their daily activities.

Colette works with a free sculptural style, creating strong characterful images.
