Natasha is a photographer and darkroom printer inspired by the ways in which the fall of light picks out the tones, textures and contrasts inherent within the landscape as well as the relationship that exists between the land and the sky.
Natasha works only with black and white film, all of her work is hand printed utilising traditional techniques and materials; continued experimentation serves to increase both her knowledge and understanding of the light sensitive materials with which she works. All work is individually printed, from each negative one final print is produced.
In addition to her photography Natasha experiments with alternative photographic processes, mainly cyanotypes, a process which originates from the mid-1800s and the very beginnings of photography.
