Welcome

Gallery in the Gardens is the Home of the High Peak Artists group. Situated at the heart of the award winning Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, Derbyshire, it contains the work of 45 local artists and craftspeople from the High Peak region.

Work on display includes various types of paintings and mixed media, glass and mosaics, ceramics, jewellery, photography both traditional black and white and digital colour, textiles, turned wood, embroidery, linocuts and etchings, pen and ink illustrations and drawings, felt work and knitwear as well as a large selection of prints and greetings cards. 

We are open every day (except Christmas Day) but times vary throughout the year so please check our opening times.

New solo exhibition by Tracey Coverley from 28th July – 25th September taking place upstairs in the Art Café Tea Rooms.  Tracey’s first solo exhibition was widely praised. Open daily from 9.30am-5.00pm.

Summer Holidays

Is the title of a new short term themed exhibition in the gallery.  Located opposite the jewellery cabinets it will run from 26th July – 26th September.  Gallery artists will show a selection of work with their own interpretation of what summer holidays mean to them.

Art in the Octagon

Louise Jannetta Solo Exhibition in Art Café

Fine artist Louise Jannetta has a solo exhibition of her mixed media paintings upstairs in the Art Café Tea Rooms at the Pavilion Gardens.  Her ‘Silent Song’ exhibition runs to 25th July and Louise will be there as Artist in Residence on 23rd & 24th July. Admission is free.
