Pastel and Charcoal Artist

Sandra Orme is one of the North West’s leading artists working with pastels and charcoal.

She is inspired by the grand landscape tradition from JMW Turner to Alexander Nasmyth and applies contemporary pastel and charcoal methods to develop dramatic and evocative work that conveys the wild beauty of open skies above moors and seas.

She is a multi-award winner and has exhibited with UK’s best pastel artists at The Pastel Society annual exhibition. She also is an associate artist with the Unison Pastels and is currently writing a book on Painting Pastel Skies for Search Press.

Further work available at her studio in Buxton and one-day workshops run. More info regarding work, workshops and demos on her website.
