WORKSHOPS for Oct 2011 to December 2011  WITH LOUISE JANNETTA, FINE ARTIST

All workshops are from 10am till 4.30pm. The cost is £50.00 per day. All materials will be provided except paper for which there will be a minimal charge depending on usage. Please bring a packed lunch, although all coffee, tea and cold drinks will be provided. No more than 5 people per lesson.

The workshops are held at:-The Artists Studio, Rear of 24 Dale Road, Buxton, Derbyshire,SK17 6NL

SATURDAY OCTOBER 1st; COLLAGRAPHS; A full day session, when you can prepare a plate and then oil it up and print it. It will be necessary to have an idea or design in mind of about A4 in size. But there will be an opportunity to discuss and develop your design.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 22nd; COLLAGRAPHS; A repeat of the above only there will be the chance to either print more of your original plates or develop new ideas.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 5th; PASTELS USED WITH WATERCOLOURS; A couple of pieces of stretched paper will be provided per person. The lesson will concentrate on developing and experimenting with a mixture of watercolours and chalk pastels. The method allows the artist to work pastel over watercolours and then the watercolours can be worked over the applied pastel.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 19th; WATER IN WATERCOLOURS AND INKS; A couple of pieces of stretched paper will be provided per person. I love mixing media to suit a required image. The intensity of ink colour with the subtle way that watercolours blend makes for a lovely representation of water.

SATURDAY DECEMBER 10th; LOOSEN UP WITH COLLAGE FOR CHRISTMAS; Make either abstract Christmas cards or small abstract painting for that special Christmas present, using a variety of materials, paints, beads and foils. Give yourself a Christmas treat and relax and play with collage. The idea is to relax and enjoy but in the hope that the experimentation will give inspiration.
