Maureen is a self-taught artist and started painting in watercolours using wildlife in its many forms as her subject.

After experimenting with other mediums, she now also uses oils, pastels and coloured pencils.

Maureen is right handed and it was after surgery on her right arm, she decided to try pencil work left handed; the first finished picture was ‘Hare stare’, it has proved a popular choice to customers and is available through her website.

After producing several successful pencil drawings she joined the United Coloured Pencil Society and has exhibited at their exhibitions in the Derwent gallery in Keswick and at one of their annual exhibitions in Westminster.

Maureen has a selection of her work in the Gallery in the Gardens, and work can always be purchased from her website.

There is also a wide selection of her work available as greetings cards, bookmarks , paper and canvas prints.
