Lucy studied illustration at Staffordshire University. After college she worked as a puppet maker for Mackinnon and Saunders. She made puppets for television commercials, Cosgrove Hall Films and life size Martians for Tim Burton’s film ‘ Mars Attacks!’.
At the end of 1997, after a life long love of animation, Lucy became a puppet animator for Cosgrove Hall Films. She worked on programmes including ‘Postman Pat’, ‘Andy Pandy’ and ‘Little Robots’. Lucy enjoys the process of creating different textures with etching and the bold impact of screen printing, and she takes pleasure in adding character and humour to her images.
