Printmaker

Jill Kerr is a printmaker whose work focuses on linocuts. She has won several awards, including the Friends’ Trophy twice in the Derbyshire Open Exhibition. Her immediate environment is the inspiration for her designs. She builds up the final image in layers using the reduction method where the lino block is cut away after each layer has been printed. Editions are limited to between 10 and 25 original prints. Jill runs workshops from her studio overlooking the Peak District National Park; details can be found on her website.
