Yvonne Oates

artist and printmaker

 

Yvonne took up painting when she moved to Buxton from Lancashire in 1990. Whilst largely self-taught, she has attended a number of interesting short courses over the years. The direction of Yvonne’s work has changed in recent years and she has become more inspired by textures and the various paint effects which can be achieved on textured surfaces. She has also developed an interest in printmaking and has experimented with collagraphs and solar prints. Yvonne rejoins the High Peak Artists’ and Craft Workers’ Association after a short break away. She is also a member of Peak District Products.
