Maureen Howard
artist
Maureen Howard is a self taught artist, using wildlife, animals, birds and flowers, particularly from the Peak District, as subjects for her paintings and drawings. After starting painting with watercolours, Maureen now includes artisan oils and coloured pencils in her work.
Maureen is a member of The United Kingdom Coloured Pencil Society and of the High Peak Artists’ & Craft Workers’ Association.
Prints, bookmarks and greetings cards are produced from her work - these are available from Gallery in the Gardens and other Derbyshire venues. Living in Buxton, Maureen accepts commissions and has a studio at home where callers are welcomed by appointment.
Maureen has had her painting 'Ostrich Family' accepted by the UKCPS for their open international exhibition at the Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, running from 18th September to 1st October. It is open to the public from 19th September.
