Gareth is a retired Art & Design lecturer with 30 years teaching experience. He now enjoys having the time to put into practice all the knowledge and skills he has acquired.

 

His work is vessel-based, non-functional earthenware, with all glazes developed from personal research.

 

He seeks to create purity of form and sources of ideas are many and varied, ranging from natural to man-made objects and images. He likes to exploit the colours and textures of different clays, and enjoys their interaction with his glazes.

 

Pots are both thrown and hand-built with each piece being unique.
