Contemporary Designer/Jeweller

Adele trained as a Textile designer in print and embroidery then later gained a 3D Design degree specialising in Metal (jewellery). She was awarded a Crafts Council grant and worked as a Designer in Residence at Manchester University.

Inspired by nature’s colours, patterns and forms she captures these in the intricate and sculptural qualities of her unique jewellery. She is recognised internationally for one range that combines textile thread hollow forms with silver, symbolising the skeletal forms of plant growth and this work has featured in many publications.

Other ranges include pierced and etched designs which subtly decorate the silvers surface. Colourful luminosity describes her hand painted /printed anodised aluminium jewellery incorporating imagery from nature. A recent range combines laser cut fabrics combined with silver.

For the last 18 years she has taught within adult education running jewellery design and making courses and has taught many local jewellers her skills. Currently teaches at Glossop adult education centre and runs various jewellery/textile workshops from her canal side studio in Whaley Bridge throughout the year. Visit our workshop page for more details and her Facebook page for current work/events.
